Info post: the "I'm really just about to run out the door for the weekend" edition
So let's just say that this is pretty much an availability notice, too. I'm about to run out the door to spend the weekend at the beach with just a tablet and keyboard, so there will maybe not be a lot of my posting.
Or maybe there will be.
I dunno.
Anyways, no one new, so you get it short'n'sweet:
Arietty Clock
Pinkie Pie
Vincent
Priestly
Claudia Donovan
Bella
That took longer than I'd hoped, and I barely did more than cut and paste. I FLEE!
Or maybe there will be.
I dunno.
Anyways, no one new, so you get it short'n'sweet:
Arietty Clock
- Is somewhere in the vicinity of four inches tall. Canon's not super good at maintaining a single proportional point, so this is approximate.
- Comes from the 2011 BBC adaptation of The Borrowers, which means her dad's tiny Christopher Eccleston and she's been menaced by Stephen Fry.
- Despite being raised with only her mother and father for company for sixteen years, is actually quite outgoing, and now looking to make more friends.
- And also to take your stuff. Not all your stuff, just the little stuff she doesn't think you'll miss 'cause you leave it lying around. See this post if you want to let her
- If she doesn't want to be seen, odds are you won't see her. She has an innate proximity warning sort of thing wherein she can tell if she's about to be seen by another sentient creature. See this post again for those who have a reason why they'd know she's there, anyway
- Now has a pet rat named Eggletina that she can ride to classes.
- Still wants a remote control car to cruise around in.
Pinkie Pie
- is from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
- will be teaching "Model United Nations"
- has absolutely no experience in politics though she thinks she's quite diplomatic, and may well instruct students that the answer to conflict is to turn the other guy into stone.
- is a pony
- is still freaked out that no one controls the weather in Fandom
- never leaves home without her party cannon
- which she will weaponize when she needs to
- sneezes confetti
- grew up on a rock farm
- has a pet toothless alligator named "Gummy"
- is subject to cartoon physics
- randomly bursts into song
- thinks in felt
- can reliably predict the future based on her bodily ticks and twitches
- bases far too much of her self-esteem on her ability to make other people smile, and will harass broody types (with OOC permission) until they do so and call her their friend
- all of the above is canon
- Is never ever ever going away, because Pinkie Pie. Though if I run out of teaching ideas, may end up opening a party planning business in town.
Vincent
- is from Eureka, which never treated him right, dammit
- has a PhD in molecular gastronomy
- runs Cafe Luke's, the restaurant formerly known as Luke's Diner
- can cook anything
- loves gossip
- and men
- but mostly at a distance
- would describe a naked Wil Wheaton showing up through a wormhole into his restaurant as "mantastic"
- is still waiting for his restaurant to inevitably blow up
- has no last name. Kind of like Cher, or Madonna
- needs to get out more
Priestly
- is from Ten Inch Hero
- is an alumnus, but maybe might end up back as a townie in the near future
- lives in Santa Cruz, where he's the cook at a local sandwich shop
- is a punk
- in a kind of hippie sort of way
- is unofficially training to be an awesome superhero support team member
- or to put it more simply, Alfred
- has mostly girls for friends
- is currently oblivious to his tremendous UST with his best friend Dinah Lance
- but has broken up with his girlfriend Tish over the fact that he has a tendency to die in big Fandom events, not that he remembers much about any deaths previous to this last one
- did I mention he might come back as a townie? I'm really, really, really considering it. He was too much fun to play on the regular again for the last BDE
Claudia Donovan
- is from Warehouse 13
- is an alumna
- is something of a technical genius
- no really, she's built long distance stun guns
- likes to play accoustic covers of punk songs
- is bisexual, but also kind of a weenie when it comes to flirting or doing anything else about sexual attraction
- yet is still in the midst of her season two love triangle
- spends her time doing inventory and being a junior agent at Warehouse 13, the international repository for historical artifacts with amazing, pseudo-scientific powers
- could still potentially bring a few of those artifacts to Fandom, if anyone needs plot fuel.
- Needs to actually do things, already
Bella
- is from outside of Washington DC
- and on the east coast
- Apparently can't do coding properly in a hurry despite the fact that it's her job
- works evenings
- totally pings from work
- likes
crackrandomness and absurdity - and long walks on the beach
- and pina -- no wait
- is on AIM late in the evenings at NotISaidDuck, and available on Gmail most of the time she's not sleeping at bellatemple (at) gmail (dot) com
- is frequently up for brainstorming and/or pitching in on plots
- doesn't bite, even if you ask nicely, unless you buy her dinner first
That took longer than I'd hoped, and I barely did more than cut and paste. I FLEE!
